Nancy Dovan
Nancy Diem Huyen Dovan (pronounced Nancy Zim-Hwin Doe-Vaughn) was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and moved to the United States with her family when she was a child.
Education
Nancy attended private Catholic school in Vietnam. She then went on to attend Avondale School, Wilson Elementary, and Tewinkle Intermediate in the United States. Nancy graduated from University High School in Irvine, California.
After finalizing her general schooling, Nancy completed a Pre-Medical and Music Education at the University of California, Irvine. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
Classical Music Education
Nancy trained as a classical pianist for twenty-one years. She began studying privately with instructor Ethel Campbell as a toddler, and made her debut on the international stage with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra by the time she was twelve years old. At the university level, where Nancy's music degree was in Piano Performance, she studied with Professor William Van Overeem and Juilliard Professor Nina Scolnik.
In 2006, Nancy studied at The Prayner Conservatory in Vienna, Austria with an emphasis on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Robert Schumann. She performed at Ehrbar Hall, one of the city's most prestigious auditoriums, where Johannes Brahms and Gustav Mahler once appeared.
Law Education
In 2002, Nancy studied International Law and European Union Law at Oxford University in England. In 2005, Nancy received her Juris Doctorate degree from Abraham Lincoln University College of Law in the United States.
Artistic Publications
In 1997, Nancy released her debut album, TIENG THU, comprised of classical Vietnamese music. In 2002, Nancy published THE COMPOSER, consisting of Nancy's original classical concertos and preludes. In 2007, Nancy published THE PIANIST, containing etudes and nocturnes she wrote during her travels.

Nancy speaks English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
